- When the pay-extra (usually $70) special graphic plate program debuted in 2011, only car size plates were available. In April 2013, graphic plates became available in both car and motorcycle versions. At that time, MC versions of previously-released graphics for Winnipeg Jets, Blue Bombers (brown version only) and Goldeyes were released. Most subsequent graphics releases (except Fish Futures, Snoman, Blue Bombers 3rd and Paramedics) included both passenger and motorcycle versions.
- Blue Bombers initial batch of gold MC plates was 5x8" size but is available on 4x7" size upon payment of replacement charge. 4x7" plate shown above is a remake of a 5x8" plate as I've seen those as high as B0199. The original blue (2011 release) and 3rd version (2020 release) Blue Bombers plates are not available in MC size.
- A batch of 100 blue Winnipeg Jets plates was accidentally produced and issued in the 5000 series in 2016. The series then resumed at J0600 onwards. Sticker box outlines disappeared starting at J0700.
- The Curling and Basketball plates shown above are courtesy Andrew Osborne collection.
